A Manorville man charged in two Tanger Outlet robbery incidents in January has been sentenced to prison in an upstate penitentiary.
Nicholas Rutigliano, 26, was charged on January 9 with robbery in the first degree and attempted robbery in the first degree after robbing Sunglass Hut at knifepoint on Jan. 6, according to police. Two days later, he attempted to rob the Movado Company Store police said. Rutigliano was apprehended Jan. 9 after a Suffolk County Crime Stoppers alert prompted someone to report a suspicious person at Tanger Outlets to the police.
Rutigliano pleaded guilty on Sept. 16, 2015.
He is currently lodged in the Suffolk County jail pending the disposition of two petit larceny charges in First District Court stemming from an Oct. 25 arrest.
