Two masked men robbed a deli on East Main Street last night at gunpoint.
Riverhead Police said the masked men entered M & G Deli, located at 999 E. Main St. at about 9:15 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money from a store clerk. They received an undetermined amount of cash and fled the store.
This is the second armed robbery reported this month in the upper East Main Street corridor. Main St. Riverhead police, who on Feb. 17 released a surveillance camera image of the robbers, have not yet announced any arrests in that case.
Police ask any witnesses or anyone with information about last night’s robbery to call Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will be kept confidential.
