Joe Jonas, Earth Wind and Fire, Bette Midler, KC and the Sunshine Band and the Village People are among the musical acts performing at Nile Rodgers’ Freak Out Let’s Dance Festival Aug. 12 through 14 at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead.
The headliners were announced on the FOLD Festival website today.
CHIC, Big Daddy Kane, DJ Cassidy with special guest Stetsasonic, Emin Music, Prince Paul DJ, King, KC, Taylor Dayne, De La Soul, Doug E. Fresh, Ultra Naté, Grandmaster Melle Mel, and DJ Nicky Sciano of Studio 54 are also appearing at the three-day festival, with more to be announced, according to the website.
Rodgers brought the FOLD Festival to Riverhead for the first time last year, featuring performers Keith Urban, Duran Duran and Pharrell, among others. Last year’s event was a two-day, Tuesday-Wednesday affair. Festival organizers got permission from Riverhead Town officials to stage the festival on a weekend this year.
Early bird tickets may be purchased online for $99 single-day and $270 for three-day general admission. More expensive gold and platinum VIP tickets are also available.
Rodgers was scheduled to announce the lineup at a press conference at the East End Arts gallery on the afternoon of May 7.
