McGann-Mercy lost in the opening round of Class B softball playoffs yesterday to top-seeded Center Moriches, 12-2.
Monarch starter Izzy Sorgi took the loss.
The win lifted Center Moriches to 20-1 overall. McGann-Mercy (9-9) travels to no. 3 Southampton (12-8) for an out-bracket game this afternoon. Southampton lost to Babylon yesterday 12-0.
