Peter V. Conlon of Laurel died on June 15, 2016 at San Simeon Nursing Home. He was 74 years old.

He was born on August 3, 1941 in County Sligo in Ireland to Timothy and Catherine Conlon.

He graduated from Iona Prep in 1961, Iona College in 1967 and received his MBA in 1971.

On October 1, 1977, he married the former Pamela Mantegazza and together they made their home in Port Chester, New York. They moved to Laurel permanently in 2007, having summered here since 1981.

Vince worked for the NYS Banking Department for 36 years as a bank regulator and deputy superintendent of banks.

He was also a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Mattituck and a member of the Mattituck-Laurel Civic Association.

Predeceased by brothers, Theodore, Joseph and Seamus, he is survived by his wife Pamela and their son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Jordan Conlon, and nieces, Julie (David) and Jean.

The family received friends on Friday, July 17 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, June 18 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church by Monsignor Joseph W. Staudt. Interment was in Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
