Riverhead Police detectives are seeking information about a single-car crash on Route 25 in Calverton late last night that injured one person.
A 2004 Jeep Cherokee left the roadway just east of Fresh Pond Avenue and overturned at about 11:15 p.m., coming to a rest on its side, police said. The driver and sole occupant of the Jeep, a 25-year-old male whom police did not identify, was extricated from the vehicle by Riverhead Fire Department. He was transported by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Stony Brook University Hospital.
No additional details were immediately made available by police.
The accident is under investigation by the Riverhead Police Detective Division. Anyone with any information about this accident is asked to call detectives at 631-727-4500 ext. 302.
