Worried about your child’s safety? Peconic Bay Medical Center and community partners will offer help on ways to help keep your children safe and sound at a free event this Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Bring your child to the hospital’s back parking lot to take advantage of a wide range of helpful safety tips and procedures including free car seat safety checks, photo ID cards and fingerprinting and the chance to see lots of emergency vehicles.

The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department will be on hand to do free inspections of child car seats. They will also offer free photo ID cards of your child, complete with fingerprints.

Vehicles from Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Riverhead Fire Department, Riverhead Police Department and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department will be on display to familiarize your little one with what can sometimes be a scary sight and sound.

The event is free, but please register by calling 631-548-6827.
