Riverhead cops seek information on theft of copper pipes in Wading River

Riverhead Police are seeking information about the theft of copper pipes and water lines from a Wading River home some time between Dec. 21 and Jan 2.

Police said an unknown person or persons entered a home on Breezy Point Road in Wading River near Wildwood State Park and “removed a considerable portion of the copper pipes [and] water lines within the residence, causing extensive damage.”

The theft occurred between 5 p.m. on Dec. 21 and 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 2, police said.

Anyone having information concerning this investigation is requested to contact Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500 ext. 332.
