The Riverhead Fire Department’s Ironmen Drill Team will serve up spaghetti with all the fixings at their eighth annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. The dinner menu features a classic Italian spaghetti dinner with delicious homemade meat sauce or meatless sauce, salad, bread and butter, dessert, coffee and juice for the children.

Come with your friends and neighbors to enjoy good food and a fun evening and at the same time support those volunteers who serve you all day, every day. The annual spaghetti dinner is a fundraiser for the drill team, which was established Jan. 23, 1935 so that the department could have a single tournament team instead of each company in the department competing independently. It won the state championship just eight months later. Over the years the team has taken numerous county, state and North Fork championships.

Tickets for the dinner can be purchased at the door. The cost is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 60 and older, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old. Children 5 and under are free.
