Boys Basketball
Mattituck 75, McGann-Mercy 37

Mattituck defeated McGann-Mercy 75-37 at McGann-Mercy High School last night. Mercy couldn’t find the handle as Mattituck dominated the game throughout.

Mercy had a hard time finding the basket, as the Monarchs found themselves smothered by the Mattituck defense. Sean Tuthill and Matt Kniedl provided some offense for Mercy, but it wasn’t enough.

Mattituck spread the wealth of baskets around all five guys on the court. By the fourth quarter, with the game out of reach, Mattituck brought in the bench to finish the game, which ended 75-37 in favor of Mattituck.

Mattituck’s next home game is Friday at 6:15 p.m. against Center Moriches. Mercy’s next home game is Friday, Feb. 10 at 6:15 p.m., also against Center Moriches.
