A Hampton Bays woman was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after a single-car crash on Flanders Road near Pleasure Drive on Jan. 26, Southampton Town Police said in a press release yesterday.

Police said Nancy A. Johnson, 62, was driving drunk when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole at about 3:10 p.m. that day.

Johnson was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries, police said.

She was arrested on charges of felony DWI and traffic infractions, police said.

Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. By law, a person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
