A Riverhead man operating a motorcycle that had been reported stolen was arrested for criminal possession of stolen property yesterday, Southampton Town Police said in a press release.
Antonio Diaz-Faz, 23, was stopped for multiple traffic violations on County Road 94 at about 4:15 yesterday, police said. Police determined he was operating a 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle that had been reported stolen from a house in Flanders on Jan. 29, according to the police report.
He was arrested on a charge of criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a class D felony, criminal possession of stolen property, a class A misdemeanor and several vehicle and traffic violations, police said.
