Riverhead Police arrested a man on drug charges yesterday shortly after 4 p.m. following a traffic stop on Hubbard Avenue.

Police said a passenger in the vehicle, Taequan Booker, no age or address information provided by police, had an active NYPD warrant.

Booker was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and a digital scale. He was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree, according to police.

Booker was processed and remanded to the Suffolk County jail on $50,000 bail, police said.
