Peconic Bay Medical Center/Northwell Health wants our community members to be healthier and more fit. To that end, it has scheduled a Wellness Walk in May. Now it’s also holding a 10-mile run this month.
The first annual Riverhead Rocks 10-Mile Run is set to take place on Saturday, March 25.
This run will start and finish along the waterfront in downtown Riverhead. The race runs to Indian Island County Park and then the participants will run through the beautiful trails.
The run will finish with a post-race party at Joe’s Garage with live music from Yoga Pants, beer and great food!
Online registration is now open. The entry fee is $50 until March 23 and $55 on the day of the race. All participants must pick up their packet at the race site on Saturday from 7 to 8:15 a.m. The race begins at 9 a.m. Race organizers are awaiting sanctioning by USATFT. All participants will receive a T-shirt.
Signs will be posted for event parking. Use the Suffolk Theater address, 118 E Main St, Riverhead, New York 11901 for GPS directions.
