A Patchogue man was arrested on a criminal mischief charge after he threw a brick through the plate glass window of a laundromat on West Main Street yesterday afternoon.

An employee of Riverside Laundromat called police at 3:40 p.m. to report that an unknown male had thrown a brick through the window there, according to a police press release.

Police located Julio Aguilar, 50, in the area and placed him under arrest, police said. He was taken to police headquarters for processing and held for arraignment, according to the report.

Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. By law, a person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
