All the museum signage will have been temporarily re-interpreted for school-age children to be able to understand it better. There will be touch table educational stations for lots of hands-on experiences. A “historical play room” will be set up for children to relive what life in the olden days was really like for young-uns. They’ll be able to dress up in colonial garb, play with toys, crafts and games that children years ago amused themselves with. There will be a scavenger hunt with prizes for those finding the most artifacts on the list.
Cookies and juice will be served.
Admission for children will be free, accompanying adults will be charged $5.
