An Aquebogue man was arrested on drug charges in an early morning raid by the East End Drug Task Force and Riverhead Town Police.
Officers from the East End Drug Task Force, Riverhead Town Police, State Police and Suffolk County Emergency Services executed a search warrant at 26a Wanda Way in Aquebogue as a result of an investigation into community complaints of a high volume of traffic in their neighborhood, according to a Riverhead Town Police press release.
Police recovered a quantity of packaged crack cocaine during the search, according to the report.
Earl Seymore, 57, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (intent to sell) and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree (weight more than one-eighth of an ounce), police said.
Seymore was processed at Riverhead Town Police headquarters, arraigned in Riverhead Town Justice Court and remanded to Suffolk County jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. By law, a person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
