Riverhead Police are seeking information about a robbery that occurred on Ostrander Avenue near Corwin Street early this morning.
Police said 26-year-old man was robbed by two unknown men whom he had asked for a ride shortly after 2 a.m.
The victim reported that his assailants took $25 in cash, a debit card, two credit cards and his cell phone.
The men fled the scene in a vehicle described as a Caprice or Crown Victoria, heading northbound on Ostrander, according to a police press release.
The victim was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps for treatment of unspecified injuries police described as not life-threatening. He was later released, police said.
