Second annual Butterfly Ball, April 22

The Butterfly Effect Project will hold their second annual Butterfly Ball at the Riverhead Recreation Department’s Senior Center in Aquebogue on April 22.

This public event is an opportunity for boys and girls to have a good time in a safe setting where adult chaperones are present.

The Butterfly Effect Project is a nonprofit organization created in 2014 by Tijuana Fulford with the goal of empowering young girls and giving them tools to assist in achieving emotionally stable and self-confident futures.

The dance is open to both boys and girls ages 4 to 13 and all attendees are asked to dress up. 

Organizers are asking for donations of gently used dresses and shoes and any of the following:

Juice boxes
Soda
Water
Cookies
Cupcakes
Pizza
Fruit
Cups
Napkins
Plates

The Butterfly Ball will be held on April 22 from 1 p.m – 4 p.m. The Riverhead Recreation Department Senior Center is located at 60 Shade Tree Lane in Aquebogue.
