Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Riverhead Town Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate two men accused of shoplifting at local stores last month.
Police released surveillance camera images of both suspects.
On March 16 at approximately 10:15 p.m., a man stole a 40” television from Walmart, located at 1890 Old Country Road. The suspect was described as a white stocky male who was wearing a black hat, white long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. The man left the store without paying for the television, valued at $448, and fled in an unknown direction.
On March 19 at approximately 7 p.m., another man stole children’s clothing from Polo Ralph Lauren Children’s located at Tanger Outlets. Police did not provide a description of the suspect.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Police ask anyone with information about this crime to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
