Bicycle riding is a fun activity — as long as you know how to do it safely. Riverhead PAL is making it fun and easy to learn safety rules and display your bike riding skills at its annual bike rodeo.
The bike rodeo is free and open to schoolchildren (kindergarten through sixth grade) who are residents of the Town of Riverhead.
The event takes place at Stotzky Memorial Park on May 6 at 8:30 a.m. Registration is the day of the event.
Children must be able to ride a two-wheeler and a helmet is necessary to compete in the rodeo. Bikes will be awarded to the winner of each grade group: K-2, 3-4 and 5-6.
The rain date is May 7 at 12:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, please call 727-5744 ext. 30.
