The Riverhead boys varsity basketball team fell to the Longwood Lions today, 60-41, less than 24 hours after trouncing the Bellport Clippers, 70-48.
“They had a lot more defensive pressure on us which created some turnovers and they capitalized on the turnovers,” said Waves head coach John Rossetti. “They came out with a little bit more intensity than we did.”
“I think playing yesterday took a toll on us,” said senior Ryan Bitzer. “But I know we’ll come back strong on Monday.”
