One person suffered minor injuries after their vehicle rolled over during an accident at the intersection of Osborn and Sound Avenues Friday.
Police said the driver of a BMW X5 was headed east on Sound Avenue when the driver of a Kia Sorento, heading north on Osborne Avenue, attempted to make a left-hand turn onto westbound Sound Avenue. The vehicles collided, overturning the Sorento onto the north side of Sound Avenue, according to police.
The driver of the Sorento suffered a minor arm injury, according to radio reports. The drivers were the sole occupants of each vehicle and the driver of the BMW was uninjured, police said.
Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to transport the injured driver to Peconic Bay Medical Center.
Traffic was diverted around the intersection while the scene was cleared.
