Peconic Bay Medical Center School of Radiology has received a $2,000 grant from the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation. The check was presented by Riverhead auto dealer Irwin Garsten, president of Apple Honda.

“This donation will help the school to continue to offer students an opportunity to train in a state-of-the-art facility in a field that is extremely marketable”, said Frank Zaleski, Program Director.

The school is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education Radiologic Technology and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. It provides an individual with a balanced education in science, art, and technology, according to a PBMC press release issued July 30.

Many opportunities for advancement exist in this science, which still takes the lead as one of the fastest growing professions, PBMC said.
