Gerard Meade, of Calverton, died August 23, 2014. He was 63 years old.
He was born in Brooklyn on July 18, 1951, the son of Anthony P. and Catherine (Reilly) Meade.
After attending college, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1983. He worked as a technician at Brookhaven National Laboratory and was a NASCAR enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife Susan, his mother and siblings Katherine Quartararo of Vero Beach, Fla., Eileen Rothmeier of Oakdale and James Meade of Commack. He was an uncle of eight and great-uncle of 25.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. Burial was at Calverton National Cemetery.
