Riverhead Middle School Middle Masques will perform Guys and Dolls Jr. tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Middle School Cafetorium tonight.
The production features the talents of many student actors, singers, dancers, musicians, and crew members in the Riverhead Middle School Middle Masques. The show is wonderfully entertaining and will touch the hearts of people of all ages.
Middle Masques will also perform the show tomorrow at 5 p.m. and next Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Guys and Dolls, a musical comedy, follows Salvation Army crusaders and high rollers from the streets of Times Square to Havana and back again. Nathan Detroit, who is permanently-engaged to psychosomatic showgirl Miss Adelaide, will be forced to fold Detroit’s Oldest Established Permanent Floating Crap Game unless he wins a bet from slick high roller Sky Masterson.
When Sky gambles that he can woo any “doll” Nathan counters that Sky will not be able to convince an up-right but up-tight missionary named Sarah to go to Havana with him. Sarah finds the rakish Sky very resistible at first, but eventually both Sky and Sarah teach each other a lesson on winning.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Refreshments will be sold at the show. For more information, contact Pat Skura at 631-359-6767.
