2013 0909 races

First Race, 20 Lap, 13 Truck, Super Pro Truck Race – “Dangerous” Dave Koenig, in the #29 truck would jump into the lead at the drop of the green, with Roger Turbush, in the #88 truck, moving from 5th to 2nd place in a matter of 1 lap. By lap 4, Turbush would steal the lead from Koenig, with Mark Stewart, in the #8 truck a close third. Turbush would once again get dealt a bad hand, as his truck once again experienced problems, and his night was over. Koenig would once again grab first, with Stewart in second, and Frank Dumicich Jr., in the #42 truck third. The race would be tight throughout, but by lap 19, Stewart said “no mas” and snuck under Koenig for his second consecutive victory, and 4th win of the race year. Nice Job Mark !!

Second Race, 20 Lap, 21 Car Blunderbust Race – At the throw of the green, Tom Puccia, in the #51 car, would grab the lead and hold it for the first 11 laps. Justin Wahl, in the #61 car, was second, and Tommy “Wild Child” Walkowiak, in the #00 car a close third. But by lap 5, Walkowiak slipped by Wahl, and had 2nd place, with his sights on Puccia. By lap 13 Walkowiak would find the opening he needed, and take over 1st place from Puccia. Walkowiak would take the lead all the way for the win, his first since early 2012. Also a wild last lap saw Ron Langden, in the #7 car and Tom Pickerell, in the #4 car get into some fisticuffs, with Langden getting DQ’ed. Nice job Wild Child !!

Third Race, 20 Lap, 9 Car Charger Race – In a caution filled race, Cory Midgett, in the #14 car would hold the lead for 2 laps until Tom Anderson, in the #23 car, jump ahead for the lead, with C.J. Lehmann, in the #1 car in the mix. It would be a side by side duel between Lehmann and Anderson all night, with Chad Churilla, in the #20 car looking to pass the two leaders, but ran out of track, and found the wall instead. This brought out the caution, and with that, Roger Turbush, in the #81 car into second. This would once again start another side by side duel between Lehmann and Turbush. The pair swapped paint until “Rockin” Rich Wilson, in the #12 car got tangled with Turbush, bringing out another caution, and Turbush taking out his frustrations on the front of Wilson’s car. Lehmann would grab the checkers for his second win. Great job C.J. !!!

Fourth Race, Twin 30 Lap, 18 Car, “Angela’s House” Race – In what would be a plain vanilla race on both ends of the twin 30 lap races found Timmy “The Natural” Solomito, in the #15 car vaulting out to the lead and basically holding the lead for both races. With some movement in the rear of the pack, Solomito went untouched for both twin 30 lap races. In the end, Solomito grabbed the checkered square for both races. Great racing Timmy !!!

Fifth Race, 15 Lap, 12 Car Figure Eight Race – Mike Mujsce, in the #13 car, vaulted out to the lead, with his sights on his first win this year. This was not to be as Mujsce spins out on his own with just two laps remaining, opening the door for Ken Hyde Jr., in the #58 car to grab first. Hyde would hold off a late run by John Vullo, in the #66 car, for his second consecutive victory, on his 21st birthday. Great race, and happy birthday Ken !!!

Sixth Race, 75 Lap, Enduro Race – Ed Brown Jr., grabs the checkers from Dominick Ranieri, who swapped the lead several times during the race. Nice Job Ed !!
