2012 1111 pal

The Riverhead Police Athletic League cheerleaders have joined in the effort to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

PAL has donated all of their sweatpants and T-Shirts, water, cleaning supplies, toys, toiletries, books, games, food, coats, hats and gloves, according to cheerleading coaches Tracy Polak and Julie Scott.

“[The community has] done so much for us over the years that we wanted to give back to them and thank them for everything that they do for us,” Polak said.

Riverhead Fire Department collected all the donations from the PAL cheerleaders and will be distributing them throughout Mastic Beach.
