The Peconic Bay Power Squadron will present “How to Have Fun, while finding your way on the water” at 1 pm on Jan. 11 at West Marine in Riverhead. The session will also include a Q & A with squadron members.
While this seminar is not part of the USPS University seminar series, it will examine how the subjects covered in the series like Charts, Compass, GPS, Depth Finders, RADAR, VHF Radio and more fit together and become the tools for a safe, fun day on the water. Many boaters understand the equipment they rely on most often, but few understand how the complete “Piloting Puzzle” fits together. A list of upcoming individual seminar topics and dates will be available for students who want to learn more.
West Marine is located at 1089 Old Country Road in Riverhead. This seminar is presented FREE by the volunteer members of Peconic Bay Power Squadron. To learn more or to reserve your space, call Fred Smith at 631-298-1930 or visit www.PBPS.us.
