Wading River Fire Department responded to reports of three subjects stranded on a rock in the rough waters of the LI Sound Saturday afternoon.
WRFD emergency personnel launched the department’s rescue boat in search of the three young men reportedly located about a quarter mile west of Wading River Beach, police said. Riverhead police were on the scene at the beach with department ATVs searching for the victims as well. The three young men were quickly located and were brought aboard the rescue boat at about 3:30 p.m., according to radio reports.
The three victims were met at the shore by Wading River Fire Rescue for medical evaluation, according to radio reports.
