Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision on Route 25A in Wading River.
The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, when a vehicle crossed over the double-yellow line into the oncoming lane of traffic and collided with another driver, according to Wading River Fire Department Chief Kevin McQueeney.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, McQueeney said. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.
Wading River and Rocky Point fire departments provided ambulance transportation at the scene.
Police have temporarily closed Route 25A while emergency responders handle the scene.
