Riverhead Fire Department extinguished a vehicle fire on Main Street shortly after 12:40 p.m. this afternoon.

There was no one in the vehicle at the time of the fire, and police are trying to locate the owner.

First responders to the scene found smoke coming out of the hood of a vehicle parked outside Luisa’s Magic Scissors on West Main Street. The fire was stamped out quickly by Riverhead Fire Department.

Riverhead Police also responded to the scene.
