For the final time this summer, crowds filled Main Street for Alive on 25 street festival last night.

The event brought live music, dancing in the streets, lots of food served by downtown Riverhead’s restaurants, local craft beer and wine, artists, street vendors and a classic car show to downtown Riverhead for a total of four events.

Steve Shauger, BID president, said the first season was a great success and he looks forward to next year. He said the organizers of Patchogue’s Alive after 5 were a tremendous help in making the event series a hit.
