Snow accumulating to three to five inches is in the forecast tonight into early tomorrow afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Upton, which has issued a winter weather advisory.
The advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. tonight until 2 p.m. tomorrow for Long Island and the New York City metro area.
Expect slippery travel as you head out to work tomorrow morning, with snow falling and temperatures hovering around the 32-degree freezing mark, according to the forecast. Visibilities will be reduced to one-half mile at times, the weather service said.
