Riverhead Town Police are seeking information on a shooting that took place at a graduation party last night.
Police said a 37-year-old Flanders man was shot while attending a graduation party on Fanning Street last night. Police received a call from Peconic Bay Medical Center’s emergency department at 11:55 p.m. notifying police that they were treating a victim on a gunshot wound.
Riverhead police detectives responded to investigate.
The victim, whom police identified as Travaum Brumsey, was uncooperative and requested no police action, according to a police press release issued this morning.
Police are asking anyone that may have witnessed the incident or has any information related to this case to contact them at 631-727-4500. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
