Riverhead Town Police are seeking information on a robbery that occurred late last night in Riverhead.
Police said a Hispanic man was punched and robbed by two men, described by police as a white male and a black male in their 20s, at about 11:20 p.m. on Sandy Hollow Court in Riverhead.
The victim told police he was punched in the face and knocked to the ground. His attackers then removed his cell phone and cash from his pockets, according to a police press release.
The two men fled the area on foot in a southbound direction on Raynor Avenue, police said. Anyone with any information in this case is asked to call the Riverhead Town Police Department Detective Division at (631) 727-4500 ext. 302. All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
