Riverhead Town Police have charged a 27-year-old Moriches man with first-degree robbery in connection with the knife-point holdup of a Wading River smoke shop on Sept. 17.
Police said an investigation by the Riverhead Town Police detective division led to the arrest of Jesse D. Schold for the robbery of the Wading River Smoke and Vapor Shop on Route 25A that morning.
Schold was remanded to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility following his arraignment in Riverhead Town Justice Court, police said.
First-degree robbery is a class B felony.
