Florence (Zaneski) Rolle, formerly of Aquebogue, died Nov. 16, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Florida.

She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1924.

She was married to her first husband Albert Zaneski (also known as Zanowski), a Cutchogue potato farmer, until his death in 1979. In 1982 she married Walter Rolle and moved to Aquebogue.

In her spare time, she loved to golf, sail and be with family and friends. She wrote several short story books entitled “Flo’s Prose.” Her family said she always made people smile with her endless love of laughter.

She is survived by her stepchildren Mark (Kay) Rolle and Diane Rolle Miller (Ken), her grandchildren Matthew (Haley), Michael (Sarah), Megan Donely (James), Trisha Herwald and her great-grandchild Clayton Rolle.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue.
