Jeanne Lassandro of Baiting Hollow, died at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017. She was 67 years old.
Born on Sept. 15, 1950 in Pasadena, California, to she was the daughter of Domenick J. and Constance (Irving) Lassandro.
Jeanne was a special needs person who led a very simple life. She enjoyed her TV shows, especially all the old shows. Jeanne was always asking a million questions and always wanted to know what her family was doing all the time. The highlight of the day was watching for the mailman and going to box to retrieve it. No one else allowed to do it; it was her job. She was known as Auntie Jeanne to so many. She left us far sooner that we ever expected, but without pain and quickly, her family said. She is with her parents, whom she spoke of every day; she so missed them, especially her Mom. Jeanne will be forever in our hearts and missed very much.
She is survived by her sister, Constance (Connie) Mary Lassandro, her brother Thomas Lassandro, both of Baiting Hollow, her niece Barbara Lassandro Forgione and nephew Anthony Forgione.
The family received friends on Nov. 26 at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home. Interment followed a committal service at Calverton National Cemetery on Nov. 27.
