Riverhead Police seek help locating man missing from W. Main Street group home

Riverhead Town Police released this photo of Dennis Dewitt, 62, who they say went missing from a group home on West Main Street Nov. 30.

Riverhead Town Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a man missing from a group home on West Main Street.

Dennis Dewitt, 62, was reported missing yesterday from Concern for Independent Living, 260 West Main Street in Riverhead. He was last seen at about 1 p.m. yesterday (Nov. 30).

Dewitt is described as a white male, 5’-8” tall, 220 lbs., blue eyes, salt and pepper hair. Police released the above photo of Dewitt and said he may be clean shaven at this time.

Foul play is not suspected, police said in a press release issued late last night.

Anyone who may have seen Dewitt or may have information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Riverhead Town Police Department at (631)727-4500. All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
