The Southampton Youth Bureau’s Creative Arts Contest is back. This year’s theme is “Diversity.”

The contest is open to students in grades five to 12 who reside in the Town of Southampton. An exhibit and reception will be held on Saturday, May 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Flanders Community Center, 655 Flanders Road which will feature all submitted artwork.

Prizes will be awarded to the “Best Art Piece” in the categories of photography, graphic art, sculpture, and free-hand. Artwork will be judged on quality, creativity, and presentation based on the artist’s interpretation of “Diversity”.

Artists can submit a maximum of two entries. All art entries must be dropped off at the youth bureau’s main office in Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road by Monday, April 30.
