Ann L. Dunkirk of South Jamesport died March 7, 2018. She was 86 years old.
She was born on July 17, 1931 in Greenport to John and Olga (Olsen) Schafer.
She was a graduate of Greenport High School and was a homemaker who was a volunteer at Central Suffolk Hospital. Her family said she loved the beach, enjoyed doing crafts and belonged to the Homemakers Club.
Predeceased by her husband William D. Dunkirk in 2001 and her son Roger L. Tuthill in 1980, she is survived by her domestic partner Gerret “Gerry” Conover, her children Robert D. Dunkirk (Melody), Linda J. McRae (Paul), Linda M. Donahue (John), William P. (Andrea), Donald L. Tuthill (Laurin), Sharon A. Mitrani (Joseph) and Steven J. Tuthill (Diane), 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 17 from 2 to 6 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
