Ongoing “Social Nights” made their debut Friday, April 13 at the Mattituck American Legion Hall. The nights are meant as a casual get-together for men and women veterans and their guests. According to the nights’ organizer, First Vice Commander-Elect Ron Breuer, there will be “board games, card games, darts and lots of fun.”
Breuer continued by inviting veterans to “come down, and join in the fellowship of being with other veterans, even if it’s just to talk.”
The social nights will continue every Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the legion’s hall, located at 600 Wickham Avenue, Mattituck.
There is no charge for the evening, although donations are always appreciated.
