Jean Schupp of Southold, formerly of Brooklyn, Brentwood and North Babylon, died May 16, 2018. She was 80 years old.
She was born Jan. 4, 1938 in Brooklyn to Philip and Jennifer Calabrese.
She was a graduate of Central Islip High School. She married Gordon P. Schupp on Oct. 6, 1962. She had been a receptionist for AIG and more recently worked with Lori Guyer of White Flower Farmhouse of Southold. In her spare time, she enjoyed the beach, sewing, antiques and twice yearly visits to Vermont. Family members said her true love was her granddaughters.
She is survived by her children, Gordon Jr. of Rocky Point and Valerie Paul of Westlake, Ohio, her brothers Gerard Calabrese of Central Islip and Thomas Calabrese of Cape Coral, Florida, two grandchildren Sophia Paul and Kaylee Schupp and her nephews Tommy and Steven Calabrese.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, May 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Interment will be at the Southold Presbyterian Cemetery on Sat., May 19 at 10 a.m.
