Marilyn Mica of Aquebogue died May 20, 2018. She was 70 years old.

She was born in Queens Dec. 27, 1947 to William and Catherine (Baum) Fenstermacher.

She held a master’s degree and was employed by BOCES as a teacher. Family members said she was beloved by all who knew her and that “she was a strong fighter.”

Predeceased by her son Roger T. Mica, she is survived by her husband Kenneth, her daughters Carolynn (Jeff) Okula and Stephanie (Francesco) Falco, her grandchildren Thomas, Marykate and Bradley Okula and Betty and Oskas Falco and her siblings Janet Fenstermacher and Robert (Susan) Fenstermacher.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, May 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Calverton National Cemetery where her son is interred.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or United Cerebral Palsy. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
