Charles J. Quigg of Riverhead died Aug. 7, 2018. He was 88 years old.
Born in Brooklyn on July 5, 1930, he was the son of Florence (Doyle) and Joseph Quigg.
He was a retired sales manager for Electrolux in Riverhead.
A resident of Riverhead since 1980, Quigg loved the town; he “lived and breathed Riverhead,” his family said. He loved to walk along the river and around the town.
He is survived by his children, Cathy Silver, Linda, Charles J. and Joseph S. Quigg and by a sister, Lillian Quigg. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, Aug. 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral Mass will be offered at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery.
