Maxwell Alexander Tuthill of Riverhead, formerly of Jamesport, died Aug. 10, 2018. He was 23 years old.
He was born at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson on April 6, 1995, the son of Loretta Anne (Trojanowski) and Todd Luce Tuthill Sr.
A 2012 Riverhead High School graduate, he was a student at Suffolk County Community College. He worked for Creative Environmental Design.
Maxwell enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, the beach, four-wheeling, riding his motorcycle and the great outdoors. He loved to make people smile, his family said.
Predeceased by his mother and his grandparents, Orange Hallock Tuthill II and Charlotte Elaine Warner Tuthill and by his grandfather, Roy Trojanowski, he is survived by his father Todd Luce Tuthill Sr., his stepmother Dawn Tuthill, his brothers, Todd Tuthill Jr., Nicholas May, John May and Josh Mentesana, by his sisters Bethany Solinger and Paige Molinari, and by his grandmother, Jackie Trojanowski. He is also survived by his nephew Nathan May and his nieces, Willow and Bianca May.
The family will receive visitors at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead on Tuesday, Aug. 14 and Wednesday, Aug 15, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
