Leonard J. Powell Jr. of Riverhead died Sept. 4, 2018. He was 58 years old.
Born in Riverhead on Nov. 6, 1959, he was he son of Leonard and Elizabeth (Lyons) Powell.
He was graduate of Riverhead High School and worked as a pool technician at Pooltastic in Hampton Bays.
Predeceased by his mother and by his domestic partner Helen Jiskra, he is survived by his father and by his brothers, Gregory and Kenneth, all of Riverhead.
Visitation will take place Sunday, Sept. 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
