East End Arts is looking for singers to join its 32nd annual Harvest Gospel Concert. There are no auditions — all singers are welcome to join the choir however performers must be available for every rehearsal and both concert dates.
Interested participants should register at the first rehearsal on Oct. 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church, 59 Anchor Street in Flanders. Rehearsals will be held the following three Saturdays, Oct 20, 27 and Nov. 3 at the same time and place. Performances will take place at 8 p.m.on Nov. 16 at the Mattituck Presbyterian Church, 12605 Main Road in Mattituck and Nov. 17 at the Friendship Baptist Church located at 59 Anchor Street, Flanders.
Led by the artistic director, Rev. Maryanne McElroy, the choir has been performing “non-denominational celebration[s of music] that connect community members while sharing the joy of music from the soul” she said in a press release.
