Richard Miller of Riverhead died Sept. 16, 2018 at his home. He was 90 years old.
He was born February 1, 1928 in Belmor, Ohio to Orvis and Marie B. (Dishon) Miller.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked for Grumman Aerospace Corporation.
Predeceased by his wife Joan (Tuthill) in 2013 and his son Marlin H., he is survived by his sons, Richard (Cheryl) and Glenn (Lon), his daughter Denise, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors Sept. 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled by Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. at the Riverhead United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Enrique Lebron officiating. Interment will follow at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Southold.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Riverhead United Methodist Church.
